Minicam acquires Dancutter and Repipe Lining Systems
Dancutter A/S and Repipe Lining Systems A/S are delighted to announce they have been acquired by Mini-Cam, one of the world’s leading pipeline inspection systems, and part of Halma Plc. Dancutter is a Danish designer and manufacturer of flexible robotic cutting solutions for use in pipeline rehabilitation and maintenance, and Repipe Lining Systems, an associated company, specializes in spray lining solutions for renovation of wastewater and downpipes.
Dancutter’s core focus is on in-pipe cutting equipment and consumables that are used in Cure-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation. This is a substantial and fast growing market, as trenchless technologies including CIPP are a far less disruptive way of maintaining the wastewater network versus conventional Dig & Replace.
The technology is used to proactively maintain and extend the life of wastewater networks, reducing blockages and leakage and ultimately reducing the environmental contamination caused by such events. Tackling these issues is important, and fits with Halma’s purpose to grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.
Dancutter will gain access to Mini-Cam’s resources and infrastructure, including technology platforms, design expertise, and a vertically integrated supply chain, while the acquisition will help Mini-Cam deliver on its ambition of offering a wider range of products and services to the wastewater network services sector, providing greater synergies to the shared customer base.
Dancutter will continue to operate under the leadership of its CEO, Lars Stenberg, from its facilities in Viborg, Denmark, and through its sales and service partner network globally.
Tom Davies, Managing Director at Mini-Cam commented “We’re delighted to welcome the Dancutter team to Mini-Cam and are really excited about the joint opportunities that this acquisition brings. The Dancutter team are experts in robotic cutting solutions, and with the support of Mini-Cam’s scale and reach into the pipeline maintenance and rehabilitation markets we are able to offer a wider range of solutions to our shared customers from within the group”.
Lars Stenberg, CEO at Dancutter, added, “We are very excited about this opportunity through a close collaboration with Mini-Cam to further develop and grow our companies. Together, we will continue to develop efficient, intelligent, and user-friendly equipment and solutions for the pipe rehabilitation markets and thereby strengthening our position as one of the leading manufacturers, for the benefit of our dedicated dealers and loyal customers worldwide.”
